DIY Mad
Everybody is DIY mad these days and we are all trying to make our fortunes from property. We can’t even turn the TV on without seeing another property expert giving us advice on the best way to make money from property. Along with luck and a large tin of elbow grease a great set of quality tools will go someway in helping make this dream a reality. One tool that is often overlooked is the humble Orbital Sander.
Orbital Sanders come in a variety of shapes and sizes as well as from a range of manufactures such as DeWalt, Bosch and the firm family favourite Black & Decker. Prices also vary but there are Orbital Sander sites out there that will help make choosing this tool a lot easier.
These sanders are a must for any budding property developer or DIY nut when trying to get the best finish for your wood. The random action of these sanding marvels ensures a smooth finish and very limited visible sanding marks.
What makes these little gems so unique is the ability to sand in a random orbit motion, sometimes up to 25,000 RPM. This is the main advantage over belt and palm sanders as the level of finish with an orbital sander is in a different league.
There are a few things to consider when buying one of these sanders and amongst others a dust bag is a must to collect all that nasty dust. Other things to consider are a variable speed control which a number of the more expensive sanders do have and maybe worth the extra expense.
Due to the orbital motion of its sanding surface, an orbital sander ensures a fine finish, especially on large surfaces. The material removal rate is lower than that of a belt sander.
